Camping
Camping – No bookings – pay on arrival.
Campers are welcome from 9am on Thursday, 22 May. No site bookings are required and no power is available. Volunteers will assist with directing you to a site suitable for your vehicle. Campers are welcome to camp until Sunday afternoon, 25 May.
Sorry, no early entry. Our volunteers will be busy setting up. This will be strictly enforced. Gates will be locked prior to this time. Thank you.
Campers are to pay admission and camping fee.
Camping passes will be provided and must be displayed on the dash of your vehicle. Displaying your pass confirms that you have paid for your site.
Camp Fires
Camp fires will be allowed if weather permits. Camps will be responsible for maintaining a safe fire and ensuring that is completely out prior to departure. If conditions are dry and fire danger is high, camp fires will be banned in the safety of all visitors. Any camps not adhering to directions will be asked to leave with no refund.
Amenities/Rubbish
Toilet and shower blocks will be located in the camping area with rubbish bins. There is also another amenities block located inside the fenced area.
There is plenty of hot water but being a little early or late of prime times will avoid a wait. All camp sites need to be left clean of rubbish. Please use the rubbish bins supplied.
Generators
Generators are permitted however consideration to your neighbours is required. Please ensure they are used at appropriate times and silent generators are encouraged.
Sorry, STRICTLY NO DOGS, NO DRONES
Due to the regulations of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority NO DOGS OR DRONES are permitted on the grounds, including camping areas. This is because there is a risk of the dog/drone entering the airfield/airstrip/airspace and jeopardising the safety of aircraft, pilots and the public. Anyone not adhering to the regulations will be required to leave without refund of admission/camping fees.
Thank you for adhering to CASA’s regulations.
Accommodation
There is no on-site accommodation available. If you are not camping, please make your own arrangements. We are 45 minutes from Rockhampton or Gladstone.
This is a community event to benefit local community groups and charities.
